My Art-Collectible lens is about the art that I am selling.
For starters, I have a exceptional collection of Balinese Masks to be offered. These masks are of the Lombok style, for the most part. Mind you there are a some masks that are Tiki as well. These traditional decorative masks are all limited edition works. There are fewer than 100 of any design.
These masks are also fair-trade items. And, I think that this adds to their value considerably.
After a while I will be adding my own art works. These will be fair-traded too. They also are originals, so see what you think (this will come later)

Door Decorations
Lombok Masks
Lombok Masks were actually intended to serve as Door Decorations. Well, more accurately, they were intended to serve as the guardians of the entrance way. That is more than simply a "decoration" to be sure.When you look at the expression on a Lombok Mask face you can see how this could be. It is not to be taken lightly, not really. The Lombok Masks have been used this way traditionally for a long time.
If you are simply thinking about how to adorn your doorway, Indonesian Lombok Masks lend themselves to the task very naturally. The long elegant shape of a tall mask fits very well with the geometry of an entrance way, and the human form is very appropriate. Doorways and faces all go together, if you know what I mean.
It's good to have something eye arresting at the entrance to your home. Hand-carved, hand-painted artwork, mosaic-ed with an intricate pattern of dots used to create extra-ordinary patterns of tribal and tropical forms. Now, here is something for your guest to contemplate upon while they wait for you to finish getting your stockings on upstairs, or whatever. It could be a good thing, no?
