These days our pets are considered to be part of the family, we buy them cool pet toys and gifts as much as we buy presents for our other relations.
In days gone by humans who considered their pets as family members used to be looked upon as being eccentric and having more money than they knew what to do with. These days that is no longer the case and 75% of pet owners consider their pet to be part of the family. They go on holiday with us, give us companionship and unconditional love to their owners.
Our household consists of one large greyhound, our son Flynn, who loves his bed and his sleep, a young cat, given name 'Princess Fluffles', don't ask, she is anything but and often gets called 'Blob the Builder', who is into everything, just like a child in their 'terrible twos' stage and just as clumsy! And her older sister who prefers the outdoors.
All three are considered to be family members, almost like children in their needs, and are treated as such. We provide the basic necessities for our family, we feed and water them and we give them love, attention, toys to play with and gifts from time to time!
The market for pet toys and gifts is a vast one, it has been estimated that Americans alone spend more then $37 billion on their pets annually, including healthcare, food, toys, books, training and clothing. I have a trapped nerve in my shoulder but with this little gem I can throw the ball further and faster, and what's more, with its hands-free pickup I don't have to bend down to pick up the wet, slobbery ball!

Kit C is formally known as 'Princess Fluffles'... I cant imagine why! She has absolutely none of the grace that you would associate with a cat! She is clumsy, frequently knocking things over or falling off the window sill and prefers being indoors to outside.Her main interests are:
- Running up and down stairs like a Builders mate
- ambushing unsuspecting humans
- chasing the laser light across the kitchen floor
- trying to fish laser light out of water bowl
- breaking ornaments
- watching tv
- sitting and waiting for the dvd drawer to open and trying to smack it before it shuts again

We certainly have fewer 'incidents' of wanton destruction as she seems to feel obliged to vent her fury on the scratching post now.

At other times she loves to sunbathe on the platform catching the rays through the windows of the porch.
