I know when I started my internet marketing journey I bought ebook after ebook, thinking I would learn the magic secret to making money online.

Whether you have a business, or you are an affiliate. You will have an URL that is really long and doesn't look so good.

People will look at your URL and realize it is an affiliate or business link.

The way you solve this problem is buy a domain name and then redirect it to your original url. This sounds really complicated, but it's not.

First think of a phrase that correlates with your business or product.

Here's a quick example when I joined the 5 Dollar Franchise I got a url that leads people to my sales page that looks like this: http://www.5dollarfranchise.com/?id=momtohanna Wow, that's something. It's ok to use that if you are going to have a live link with anchored text where no one sees the actual link. It's not good to put in email or to just have your link showing.

Here's what I did. I thought of a phrase. 5 Dollar Blessing. I went and looked it up at a domain name seller. I use 1&1 Hosting because their domains are the cheapest I've found (6.99 for .com). Doing this will let me know if that domain name is available. Try it here. Just put your phrase in the box and hit go. It will come back and tell you if that name is available or not. If it's already been taken you have to go back to the drawing board and think of another phrase.

Once you find a phrase that works for your business and is available, just purchase it. When you get your confirmation you can go into your control panel and redirect it. (make it so when people click on your new url it will take them the same place as your old url.)

People who are new to internet marketing can easily be pulled in by masterfully written sales copy and the dream of easy riches. Before you shell out any money read Stop Being a Victim and get to the bottom of the most tempting scams on the internet.

If you are an affiliate marketer this product is for you. You may or may not be aware that people can "hijack" your links to clickbank products, and by doing so steal your commission. It can happen and it does. You may also be using different places and different ads to promote the same product. Wouldn't it be nice to know which ads are producing results? Wouldn't it be nice to do all this for free?

That's exactly what URLFreeze does and more.

Ok, here's why I went to take a look. I wanted to be able to better track my ad campaigns. I wanted to know which ads were pulling and which places I was putting them were working. URLFreeze answered this problem for me. It allows you to create a new URL for any product. It's similar to "tiny url" but it will create more than one new URL for the same product. It also has lots of tracking in the back office so you can see where your hits are coming from.

This is really useful because it will allow you to focus your marketing efforts on things that are really working, instead of spreading yourself around "hoping" people are looking at your ads. You will be able to see which ads are working for you, which ones aren't and stop using the ones that aren't and create new ones, or use others that are working. You may find a signature in one place works great, but it works terribly in another spot. This information will allow you to tweak your campaign to get the most from your efforts.

It appears they have added some new features including some advertising for member, and it also has what appears to be a lucrative affiliate program, which could be some nice passive income for you, but to tell you the truth I haven't really looked in to that part yet. I will continue to play with this and let you know as I find out more.

But to cloak your url and track your ad campaigns it's a huge thumbs up!! and It's FREE, can't beat that.

I found Jonathan Budd on myspace while I was searching for friends. His profile is great and he seems like a "real" person. He offered a 7 day mlm marketing bootcamp series, and even though I am not in an MLM company, I liked him enough and thought it might be some good information so I got it.

All I can say is WOW!! He gave me so many good ideas that I had not even thought of. He also put it together in an easy to follow blueprint. I definately recommend taking the time to read this series, whether you are floundering or flourishing in an MLM or are affiliate marketing. You are bound to learn something to improve your traffic and conversion rates.

I just read the most interesting ebook on internet business I think I have ever read. This wasn't like any of the ebooks I've read before. It didn't tell me techniques to drive traffic, or how to start a blog (I do love those books too), this one talked about an entire business model.

It's called Stacked Income. It's based on the concept of adding products for additional income without any extra work. It made such perfect sense.

If you are looking to start a business or make money online I seriously recommend you read this book before you get started and possibly waste a lot of money.
