Prohibition Never Worked For Alcohol, Why Would it Work For Marijuana?
History IS repeating itself. The Roaring 1920's was the time of prohibition and these were the 13 years that severely damaged America. Today, after more than 75 years, the criminalization of Marijuana is having an even more detrimental effect on many aspects of our society.

It Is A Shame That Patietns Who Need Marijuana, Suffer Criminal And Civil Penalties

Why is this so? For thousands of years, humans have been using Cannabis as food, fibers, oils, medicine and clothing. This single plant has so many uses. The truth is if marijuana were utilized in a vast array of commercial products, it would create an industrial atomic bomb! Entrepreneurs today have not been educated on the product potential of pot. The super rich have conspired to spread misinformation about an extremely versatile plant that, if used properly, would threaten their companies. Many of our founding fathers like George Washington and Thomas Jefferson GREW HEMP. However in the 1930's several business tycoons who stood to lose because of thier interest in timber and synthetics conspired with the governement to have Hemp declared a dangerous item. William Randolph Hearst, who supplied paper products and controlled the media, began a black propaganda against hemp. These men used a Mexican slang term "marihauna" to implant the thought in the public that Cannabis is evil and dangerous, referring to it as the "devil's weed".
>Today people are slowly waking up to the truth that Marijuana, hemp, cannabis, weed, or whatever else you choose to call it, is not the soul-destroying "drug" it has been portrayed through the brainwashing and manipulation peformed by the media. It is a wonder plant that has many medical benefits and practical applications. Even the The American College of Physicians, the largest medical specialty organization and the second largest physician group in the United States, strongly advocates a change in the U.S government policy on Medical Marijuana. They feel that it is not a schedule I drug and are pushing for reclassification into a more appropriate schedule. This is because the present scientific consensus is that Marijauna is a safe, effective medicine for some patients, especially those fighting life-threatening illnesses. This clearly shows that one of the world's most respected physician groups recognizes what researchers have been saying for years--that Marijauna plays a theraputic role in the lives of people who suffer from debilitating conditions.
