Tony Silvagni-A Local Surfing Legend
at only 20 years old
He is a star at 20, straight out of Kure Beach NC. Currently surfing for Bavaria Holland Beer, Tony Silvgani wants to be the next World Champion Surfer. He is well on his way, already having claimed three US Championships.In fact Tony has been competing and winning since the age of 13. In 2000 he starts cropping up in the news when he placed 2nd in the Menehune Long board competition.
Most recently, he placed first in the Men's Long board Pro at the 43rd annual Ron Jon Easter Surf Festival in Cocoa Beach, Florida.
So far in a short time, Tony has achieved success regionally and nationally. The Bavaria Holland Beer 2007 "Let it Flow" sponsorship will allow him to take his passion for surfing to the Pro level.
Although Tony has a rigorous schedule and travels extensively to compete at various surfing events in the US and around the world, he still maintains a 4.0 average in school. He is a Business Major at Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington NC.

Many of the competitions Tony surfs in are charity benefits. In fact he and his family helped to get the ball rolling for the Bavaria Holland Silvagni benefit. The funds raised at this surfing contest will go to assist his brother Andrew Silvagni fight Lyme Disease.

I didn't know Carolina had such large waves. Unfortunately I live in the desert and the closest thing to waves I see is the wake off a boat speeding down Lake Havasu. Nice vids!
